The SKILL! Programme’s 12th workshop took place in the heart of London’s Soho on Tuesday 20th September, at the offices of leading business information provider Incisive Media.  Produced in association with some of the City of London’s leading employers, the workshop was attended by 40 students aged 14-16 from across London, who took part in a range of interactive sessions designed to enhance their communication, presentation, interpersonal and teamwork skills.  Sessions were delivered by our facilitators Matt Kepple, an award-winning social entrepreneur; and Katie Ledger, a former BBC and ITN newsreader.

The highlight of the workshop was the pitching session, where students presented ideas they had developed during the workshop with the help of Matt and Katie’s extensive training.  Due to the generosity of our hosts – leading business information provider Incisive Media – students were able to pitch their ideas to a panel of entrepreneurs in a state-of-the-art television studio, bringing the session to life and helping students to present in a way many never knew they could.  The panellists in the session were:

  • Oli Barrett – Serial entrepreneur; founder of the Co-Sponsorship Agency
  • James Hanbury – Co-founder & Group Managing Director, Incisive Media
  • Sarah McVittie – Founder & CEO of
  • Andrew Scott - Serial technology entrepreneur; CEO of Magical Jaguar Inc.

Students also heard from entrepreneur Warren Bennett, co-founder of A Suit That, who told the inspiring story of how he started the world’s first online tailoring business.

Our next workshop is taking place on Tuesday 9th November in Central London.  For more information, please contact us by email at
