This workshop was produced with Allen & Overy, giving students from schools across East London an opportunity to gain a fundamental understanding of enterprise and employability skills.  Mentors from Allen & Overy worked with students, helping them to grasp the new skills they were learning and ensuring the students were fully engaged with the activities at the workshop.

Students heard a keynote speech from Dan McGuire, the co-founder and Managing Director of Broadbean Technology, a leading recruitment services provider.  Dan told students about his entrepreneurial journey and inspired them to strive for success, both academically and professionally.

This was the first of two SKILL! Workshops commissioned by Nomura, as a means of engaging students from their partner secondary school in East London in fundamental enterprise and employability skills.  At this workshop, a group of 60 Year 10 students visited Nomura’s offices in Canary Wharf and participated in activities focussed on enterprise and entrepreneurship, learning idea generation, communication and presentation skills.
